What You’ll Do

This role allows you to make a meaningful impact during critical out-of-school hours. You will:

• Lead and supervise a group of teachers to create unique and engaging classroom experiences, leverage and develop “best in class” educators to be passionate and committed professionals
• Ensure your site is operating effectively; maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards
• Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, school and district leaders, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners
• Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts of new families and children in our sites

The program operates Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:00am-8:30am and 2:00pm-6:00pm, totaling 32-35 hours per week. You will have admin time outside of program hours as well. This includes time allocated for lesson planning, parent communication, and other related tasks.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a team environment, brings enthusiasm to their work, and has:

• Must meet Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) Administrator qualifications, including one of the following:
• Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related ODJFS-approved field.
• Valid Ohio teaching license for preschool/associate teaching or a Montessori Early Childhood credential.
• Current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• Ohio Administrator Credential or Ohio Career Pathways Level 1, 2, or 3 designation (Level 1 candidates must obtain Level 2 within one year).
• Four or more college courses in Child Development/Early Childhood Education with qualifying child care experience.
• High school diploma/GED with two years of licensed child care experience (internal promotion) and completion of four ECE/Child Development courses within one year of appointment.
• Experience:
• Two years of experience in a licensed child care program may be required depending on the qualifying education or credential.
• Must meet all ODJFS licensing requirements for a Child Care Administrator.
• A solid understanding of child development and educational best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• The ability to meet state licensing requirements and pass background checks.
