We're seeking a full-time PR Account Executive within our client service department with 2-3 years of experience at a marketing, advertising and/or PR agency or client-side marketing/advertising/PR department. Responsibilities:
- Supporting the account lead on day-to-day management of all accounts, responding to client requests and proactively anticipating client needs;
- Collaborating and communicating closely with your team, Champion’s principals and other team members:
- Assisting supervisor with the development of Account Specialists and Interns;
- Providing and participating in strategic direction and big splash ideation for clients;
- Meeting regularly with clients to ensure that the agency is aligned with their priority initiatives and that they are delighted with our service;
- Developing and/or overseeing the development of local store marketing plans to create buzz for new restaurant openings and/or market launches;
- Identifying and developing relationships with influencers and digital bloggers to generate positive media coverage;
- Preparing status reports, talking points, media recaps and other client-facing materials;
- Managing and contributing to press releases, media alerts and pitches;
- Working with the PR Team to pitch and secure media coverage both nationally and in local markets across the country;
- Collaborating with the Social Team on monthly calendars, content and social ads to align with PR and marketing initiatives, as needed;
- Collaborating with the Digital Team to support franchise development and/or digital advertising in support of client priorities, as needed;
- Monitoring media coverage and reporting back to clients; and,
- Contributing to creative ideation sessions with Champion’s team on behalf of all of the agency’s clients.
The ideal candidate has a college degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline; is a team player who is also comfortable working independently and with limited supervision; has 2-3 years of experience in public relations, marketing and/or advertising; has outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; and is energetic, organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
