Job Overview:
Kindergarten Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Kindergarten Teacher in managing classroom operations and fostering early childhood development on campus.
· Skilled in Arizona Academic Standards
· Maintain high expectations for student academic success and conduct
· Subscribe to the belief that every student has a natural desire to learn and have the desire to bring all students into the educational mainstream by the end of elementary school
· Implement engaging and rigorous units to ensure all students master the required content
· Able to implement project based blended learning activities that activate the imagination, stimulate critical thinking and develop problem-solving skills
· Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce foundational math, phonics, reading and writing concepts.
· Supervise young children to maintain a safe environment. Help guide behavioral expectations, routines and transitions between activities.
· Set up learning centers, organize supplies, create bulletins boards and prepare hands on educational crafts.
· Monitor students outside of the direct classroom, including assignments to playground recess, lunchroom cafeteria and bus loading zones.
· Reinforce school-wide rules and expectations
· Implement warm-strict classroom management techniques
· Collaborate closely with fellow teachers and other staff members
· Differentiate instruction effectively to meet the individual needs of students
· Identify students who are academically at risk and initiate effective intervention strategies
· Participate actively in professional development
· Build strong relationships with students, staff and families
· The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Requirements:
You must have an IVP fingerprint clearance card issued by the state of Arizona
Qualifications:
You must have a high school diploma; college is a plus
Hourly Rate & Benefits:
