Overview
We are seeking a few Experienced and dependable Roll-Off Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks—including roll-off truck and bin delivery truck to transport waste containers and materials to designated locations. Your expertise in commercial driving and heavy lifting will ensure efficient delivery and collection services while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to load, transport, and unload waste containers and materials.
- Load and unload containers manually or using mechanical equipment, ensuring secure placement for transportation.
- Drive heavy-duty trucks with manual transmissions across various routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel usage, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate schedules and confirm delivery or pickup details.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as roll-off, front loader, rear loader, dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers. 5 years experience minimum ***mandatory***
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) for 5 or more years with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks on trucks.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; absolutely no accidents on record.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely during loading and unloading processes; physical stamina required.
- Familiarity with load securing techniques for various container types.
