Maintenance Technician Job Description:
Responsibilities-
• Handle emergency maintenance requests
• Perform light maintenance duties (changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, unclogging toilets, ect.)
• Perform basic plumbing electrical and carpentry repairs
• Troubleshoot and replace defective supply dispensers
• Troubleshoot issues with cleaning equipment as necessary
• Handle weekly supply inventory and ordering
Required to coordinate with vendors for larger maintenance requests.
Skill Requirements-
• 2 years janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
• High school diploma/GED highly desired
• Ability to successfully complete industry technical and safety training courses
• Willingness to work early morning or late-night shifts
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Capacity to take direction
• Strong attention to detail
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary
Other Functions:
· Attends all required training, in-services, and staff meetings.
· Participates in company initiatives (Ex. New software implementations)
· Strives to maintain a safe working environment for the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, the achievement of safe working practices, and by practicing proper infection control measures while in health centers.
