Location: Avon, IN

Champion Chevrolet of Avon, the fastest-growing Chevrolet store in the State of Indiana, is looking for an experienced Service Department Manager to lead our high-performing service team. This role is responsible for driving profitability, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, developing our people, and maintaining strong process discipline in a fast-paced dealership environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day Service Department operations (lane management, dispatch, workflow, quality control)

  • Ensure exceptional customer service and protect CSI performance

  • Coach, train, and develop advisors, technicians, and support staff

  • Monitor key fixed ops metrics: ELR, productivity, efficiency, RO count, warranty compliance, and gross targets

  • Oversee warranty submissions, repair order accuracy, and GM compliance

  • Partner with Parts, Used Cars, BDC, and Accounting to support dealership goals

  • Manage used car recon workflow and ensure timely completion

  • Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally

  • Drive continuous process improvement and maintain a safe, organized shop

 


 

What We’re Looking For

  • 5 years of automotive service management or advisor leadership experience (GM preferred)

  • Strong understanding of fixed operations, warranty, and OEM processes

  • Proven ability to lead a team in a high-volume dealership environment

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Dealertrack DMS, Xtime, and GM tools (or willingness to learn)

  • Professional, customer-focused, and team-oriented mindset

 


 

Compensation & Benefits

  • $135,000 – $180,000/year (DOE and performance plan)
