The Kitchen Expeditor acts as the central point of contact between the kitchen and front of the house team, ensuring that orders are prepared correctly, plated beautifully, and delivered promptly. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the flow and quality of service during busy meal periods.
- Coordinate and organize orders coming from the dining room to ensure timely and accurate preparation.
- Review each dish before it leaves the kitchen to ensure proper presentation and quality standards are being met.
- Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, and servers to keep the line moving efficiently.
- Monitor ticket times and collaborate with the culinary team to resolve delays or issues quickly.
- Assist with plating or garnishing during peak times as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized expo station.
