We are seeking a dedicated and professional Admissions Consultant to join Road Runner Truck School in Champaign, IL. This role involves guiding prospective students through the admissions process while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and proficient in administrative tasks to support the school's enrollment goals.
Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective students to provide information about the programs offered and assist them through the admissions process
- Manage and maintain accurate records of applicant information using spreadsheets and other administrative tools.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate smooth enrollment procedures.
- Maintain organized documentation of applicant interactions and status updates.
- Support promotional efforts by providing accurate program details and answering prospective students' questions.
- Help students explore funding options.
- Build referral relationships with workforce agencies and community groups.
- Partner with trucking companies on sponsored training and graduate hiring.
- Represent the school at job fairs and local events.
- Follow up with leads and outreach and reports results weekly and monthly.
Experience
- Proven experience in customer service or administrative roles, preferably within an educational or training environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily tasks and communication
- Experience working with spreadsheets for data management and reporting purposes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling confidential information
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with prospective students and team members
- Valid driver's license and willigness to travel locally
