Chambliss Center for Children is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. Your work will directly support the children, families, and communities we serve throughout the Chattanooga area.
What We Offer
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Monday-Friday daytime hours
- Occasional evenings or weekends for emergencies or urgent repairs
- Pay: $17-$21 per hour, based on skills and experience
- Access to company work truck provided during shift
- No “On-Call” rotation. Very infrequent after hours demands

- Complete maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance tasks
- Perform general building repairs, including:
- Plumbing
- Basic electrical work
- Carpentry
- Painting
- HVAC support
- Inspect facilities and identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Install, move, and repair furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Respond to urgent maintenance needs as needed
- Help keep agency facilities clean, safe, and operating smoothly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of general building maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check required for working around children
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the day
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Travel between multiple agency locations throughout the Chattanooga area
