Maintenance Tech - Weekdays

Chambliss Center for Children is looking for a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for the children, families, and communities we serve.

Job Details

• Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday daytime hours with occasional evenings or weekends for emergencies or urgent repairs
• Full-time or part-time opportunities available
• Pay is $15-$21 per hour depending on skill and experience

Responsibilities include:

• Complete maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
• Perform general repairs including plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance and safety issues
• Assist with moving, installing, or repairing furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Support overall facility operations and respond to urgent repair needs when necessary
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check required for working around children
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Travel extensively between multiple local agency locations within the Chattanooga area
