Duties
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with company goals, utilizing procurement systems such as Blue Yonder and K3S for procurement activities.
- Manage supplier relationships through effective communication, performance monitoring, and supplier evaluations to ensure quality standards and delivery schedules are met.
- Oversee procurement processes from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or quality issues to implement corrective actions swiftly.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and production planning teams to align procurement activities with production schedules and inventory requirements.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and support materials management initiatives.
- Assist category management efforts by analyzing market trends, pricing strategies, and supplier capabilities to maximize value across procurement categories.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Strong knowledge of procurement systems such as Blue Yonder and K3S for procurement and materials management functions, preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Familiarity with supply chain principles including logistics, production planning, and inventory control.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on cost reduction while maintaining quality standards.
