What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing?
- Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy
- Conducts physical inventory compares results to computerized inventory and reconciles any differences
- Replenishes stock and inventory as needed
- Ensures that all stock is stored incorrect locations in the warehouse
- Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule
- Schedules materials being transferred to and from the warehouse; coordinates the transfer of inventory between departments
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices
- Monitors expenditures; implement corrective actions if needed
- Enforces operating instructions and safety policies
- Resolves routine equipment issues
- Maintains accurate records of inventory, equipment maintenance, and mandatory safety training
- Develops and manages processes for equipment maintenance and parts replacement
- Able to pass the Driving Background
- Valid Driver' License is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- English speaking, bilingual preferred
- Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems
- High school diploma or GED encouraged but not required.
- At least 2 years of experience in distribution, warehouse, or related field required.
- Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
