What You Will Be Accountable For
- Prepare, sort, and route interoffice and intercompany mail; pick up and deliver mail per assigned routes and schedules.
- Sort, weigh, meter, and tray U.S. mail; ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Substitute for other Mail Services employees (including drivers) as needed.
- Participate in cross-training to perform mail and lettershop tasks across multiple locations.
- Burst, bundle, and deliver scheduled data reports and paper orders.
- Monitor copier supply rooms to ensure adequate stock of copy paper, envelopes, and office materials.
- Process carrier shipments using vendor equipment or web-based tools.
- Track and retrieve information on accountable mail; maintain charge-back and reporting documentation.
- Operate and maintain Lettershop equipment (inkjet, inserter, scanners, BCC software, pallet jacks) to ensure minimal downtime.
- Improve mail list quality and accuracy to minimize returned mail and reduce postage costs.
- Maintain working knowledge of Excel for tracking and reporting activities.
- Follow USPS, courier, and HazMat handling procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
- Perform additional mail or facilities-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of mailroom, warehouse, or facilities support experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting packages, operating mail equipment, and moving materials.
- Familiarity with USPS, courier, and freight rules and procedures preferred.
- Experience handling or processing hazardous materials shipments a plus.
