General Overview:

A Grill Cook prepares and cooks grilled items to order, maintains proper food safety standards, ensures quality and consistency, and coordinates with the kitchen team for smooth service.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meats, and other items on the grill.
• Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized grill station.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Set up and stock the grill station with necessary supplies.
• Monitor grill temperatures and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Check food quality before serving.
• Assist with prep work and other kitchen tasks as needed.
• Follow all kitchen safety procedures and guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant, cafe, or hotel
• Familiarity with various cooking methods such as grilling, baking, and boiling.
• Familiarity with ingredients, different types of equipment and procedures
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• DOH certificate/ license preferred.
• Passion for food and cooking with desire to learn and grow culinary skills.
• Strong attention to detail especially regarding food quality, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items such as pots, pans, bulk food items.
• Ability to work in a hot or humid environment at certain times.
• Ability to frequently move around the kitchen including reaching and bending.
