Role OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Recruiter to join our team and take ownership of sourcing and hiring Drillers and NDT Technicians. This role is critical to supporting our operations by ensuring we attract and hire highly skilled professionals who thrive in demanding field environments. The Recruiter will partner closely with hiring managers and field supervisors to understand workforce needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and deliver a seamless candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with hiring managers and field supervisors to identify staffing needs for Drillers, NDT Technicians, and related skilled roles.
- Source candidates using a variety of methods, including job boards, industry networks, trade schools, social media, and referrals.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, coordinating assessments, and facilitating offers.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for both immediate and future field positions.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining timely communication and professionalism throughout the hiring process.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reports on hiring activity, time-to-fill, and pipeline strength.
- Promote Challenge Testing Inc.’s employer brand and culture within the drilling and inspection industries.
- Stay informed on workforce trends and best practices in skilled trades and technical recruitment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably in skilled trades, oil & gas, industrial services, or technical fields.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring hard-to-fill field roles (Drillers, NDT Technicians, inspectors, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of recruiting tools and techniques (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, ATS systems, trade networks).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
