Challenge Entertainment is hiring Trivia Hosts / Emcees in Suffolk, VA and Surrounding Areas!

Are you entertaining, confident on a mic, and comfortable in front of a crowd? Do you have great energy, a fun personality, and strong stage presence?

If so, becoming a Challenge Entertainment Trivia Host might be the perfect fit for you!

About the Position

This is a PART-TIME evening position with events typically taking place:

• Monday–Thursday
• Between 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Each event lasts approximately 2–3 hours
• Most hosts work 1–3 nights per week
• Fixed and flexible weekly scheduling available

What You’ll Do

• Host live trivia events at local bars and restaurants
• Engage and entertain crowds using a microphone
• Read questions, manage scoring, and control event flow
• Use digital music applications during gameplay (Spotify, iTunes, etc.)
• Set up and break down basic sound equipment
• Represent Challenge Entertainment professionally at every venue
• Build relationships with players and venue staff

This is not just reading questions — this is running the show.

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be 21 years of age or older
• Own a laptop computer
• Have reliable Internet access
• Have an active cell phone
• Have reliable transportation
• Possess basic computer skills (including familiarity with Excel)
• Be punctual and dependable
• Be comfortable with basic audio setup, usage, and breakdown (no prior experience required — we will train you)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
