Janitor Part-Time Tacachale (47727)

Job Description:
This position is responsible for performing janitorial tasks as directed by the project manager or supervisor assigned. Such tasks are performed in office areas and common areas of buildings associated with an office environment. Tasks include but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.  work is performed during the day between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. to be determined by the Project Manager.
 

Responsibilities and duties of this position include:
Essential functions
•    Vacuuming carpets and hard floors and sweeping and  mopping
•    Clean and sanitize restrooms
•    Clean sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls.
•    Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common area as necessary.
•    Empty all trashcans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
•    Collect recyclable materials and take to appropriate area to be sorted.
•    Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture.
•    Clean windows and window sills.
•    Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
•    Maintain and use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner.
•    Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times.
•    Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
•    Report any damage to cleaning equipment to the project manager or crew leader.
•    Report maintenance needs to project manager or crew leader
•    Other duties as assigned

•    Ability to follow oral instructions
•    Ability to work effectively with a team.
•    Ability to work independently as needed.
•    Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of SDS’s or willing to learn.
•    Good client/customer service skills
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills
•    Maintain a 90% productivity rate
 

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have  previous knowledge of performance based cleaning or the willingness to learn
Must pass a background check
Must pass all background check requirements. Local and Level II.
DMV Check (required to drive on campus) or State ID to enter campus
Applicants must agree and submit to a tuberculin skin test.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Lifting items over fifty (50) pounds utilizes a team lift. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
