This position will support our Controller with ownership of key accounting processes, including: Job Costing, Billings, Accounts Receivable, Account Reconciliation, Timekeeping and Office Support.
This is a full-time position in Lima, OH, with an excellent benefit package: PTO, 401K match of 5%, medical, dental, and vision benefits. Requirements
· 2 years of experience in general ledger or construction accounting, preferably in a project-based environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including light formulas and data entry.
· Proficient in Accounting/ERP systems
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial processes
· Ability to analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports
· Ability to interface and communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with external customers, and all levels within the organization
· Associate’s degree in Accounting or higher, preferred.
Essential Tasks:
- Ensure job costs are processed in accordance with internal control procedures
- Collect, review and verify employee timesheets and attendance records
- Prepare and process cost-plus and lump sum billings in accordance with contractual terms
- Ensure all allowable costs are billed in a timely manner
- Coordinate the billing process with the project team
- Manage relationships with the project management team to ensure exceptional levels of customer service and prompt payment
- Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries and payment issues.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and IT to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Support month-end close and assist with audits
