Production Worker - 3rd shift

**$1,000 sign on bonus ($250 paid at 3 months of employment & $250 paid at 6 months of employment & $500 paid at 1 year of employment)

PAY

This position pays $13.50 per hour

SHIFT

Shift hours are 10:45pm - 7:00am with flexibility to report early and work past scheduled shift time; Sunday sanitation shift required ; in addition to weekends when required

JOB SUMMARY

The production worker will ensure that the proper raw material is being loaded into the machine to start the initial process of production. The production worker will ensure that the filled product is properly removed from the machine and stacked properly on the rack for cooling or cooking. The production worker will properly place filled product on the conveyor belts. The production worker will immediately report any issues to the shift production supervisor. The production worker will follow all safety guidelines and food manufacturing regulations to ensure that safe, quality products are always being produced.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Bring raw material to the production floor from storage area using pallet jack.
• Lift raw materials finished products and packed items.
• Load material and products into processing machines/equipment/racks and conveyor belt
• Load products onto equipment/racks properly
• Examine and inspect bags for leaks; cut bags necessary for rework.
• Examine and inspect totes, product to aid in verifying correct product is being loaded.
• Monitors production line to ensure running efficiently.
• Assist machine operators by performing lesser duties when required.
• Assures food safety standards with regards to GMP’s and HAACP plan are always followed
• Maintains neat and clean work area at all times.

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous production/ food manufacturing experience

WORK ENVIROMENT

• Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed
• Protective gear such as gloves, work boots and smocks required at all times
• Will work around moving machinery
• Temperature varies from 39-45 degrees

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• required to walk, stand, bend for long periods of time throughout the day
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs

Will be expected to perform other related duties and assignments requested or directed.
