Monday-Friday, typically 8a-5p. No on-call, nights, weekends, or holidays.
Position Summary:
The Controller works directly with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Department of the Hospital.
Primary Job Duties:
- Responsible for maintaining the accounting functions of the organization.
- Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to management.
- Designs and coordinates a wide variety of accounting and statistical data and reports.
- Oversees reporting of financial information including budget, credit, insurance, tax, required filings and reports etc.
- Prepares accurate and informative data relative to the operation of the hospital.
- Performs monthly financial reconciliations and closings.
- Coordinates annual financial audit preparation and completions.
- Assists in various process improvement initiatives.
- Assists CFO with balance sheet management.
- Resolves discrepancies, investigates questionable data.
- Take part in quality/safety/ infection control improvement initiatives projects by observing/reporting/engaging/resolving any concerns or issues.
- Complete annual required Relias education
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, preferred.
- Five to ten years of working experience in a similar role, hospital setting, preferred.
