Job Summary
CHA is seeking a Kindergarten Instructional Support Teacher who will play a key role in ensuring that all students receive the academic, behavioral, and social–emotional support they need to succeed. This position works collaboratively with classroom teachers, support staff and administrators to provide targeted intervention, differentiated instruction, and ongoing progress monitoring. The Instructional Support Teacher works alongside the classroom teacher to foster an inclusive learning environment that meets diverse student needs and promotes growth for learners at all levels. Key Responsibilities Provide small-group and individualized academic interventions in areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics. Collaborate with classroom teacher to design and implement differentiated instruction and accommodations. Use strategies to reinforce grade-level concepts and fill learning gaps. Assist with behavior support strategies and promote positive classroom management techniques. Encourage student independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field not required but preferred Experience working with diverse learners and implementing differentiated instruction. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Compassionate and student-centered approach. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with students, staff, and families.
