Your future duties and responsibilities
- Portal and Widget Development: Design and build custom service portal pages and reusable widgets using the Service Portal and Now Experience framework.
- UI/UX Implementation: Create user-friendly and intuitive interfaces, aligning them with provided designs and ensuring responsiveness across various browsers and devices.
- Technical Skills: Utilize web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap, React, or Angular to develop portal features and components.
- Backend Integration: Integrate custom widgets and pages with backend ServiceNow workflows and external systems using APIs.
- Performance and Optimization: Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot UI-related issues, and ensure portals are optimized for speed and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, administrators, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Documentation and Testing: Create code documentation, user guides, and write Automated Test Framework (ATF) tests to ensure code quality.
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly
- Proven experience in ServiceNow portal development.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and web accessibility standards.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Service Portal and Now Experience frameworks.
- Strong coding skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React, or Angular.
- Familiarity with integrating backend workflows and APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of ServiceNow architecture and best practices.
