Your future duties and responsibilities
- Manage TSO/ISPF, VSAM files, and IBM utilities to create/update JCL procedures supporting migration, restructuring, and data maintenance.
- Install and maintain HFS and ZFS file systems for UNIX System Services (as needed).
- Install and maintain Java application code and WebSphere Application Server (WAS) code on Linux (daily/ongoing).
- Install and maintain Amazon Web Server application code in a cloud environment (daily/ongoing).
- Update and configure WebSphere MQ application code (daily/ongoing).
- Perform Dialog Manager, CLIST, and JCL updates to support software migration activities (as needed).
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows .NET deployments and installs (as needed, expanding workload).
- Update and maintain the component SharePoint site, including procedures, production documents, and work requests.
- Document migration and installation activities via the Online Software Release Form (OSRF) and within OSO SDLC environments.
- Participate in DevOps meetings to support continuous migration and testing strategies.
- Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with highly experienced technical resources.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Experience with object-oriented and web programming languages including SQL, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, C languages, HTML, XML, InstallShield, PowerShell, or similar.
- Ability to migrate and install agency application code across testing and production environments, including review of packages and documentation.
- Experience deploying applications across multiple systems/platforms such as CICS, DB2 modules, 4611 system changes, ACU apps on Linux, WebSphere, and Liberty on z/OS using UCD.
- Experience building, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise software distribution infrastructure.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco, networking, server administration, microcomputer maintenance, troubleshooting, CompTIA A , technical writing, Active Directory, virtualization, application development, software migration, and software distribution.
- Ability to collaborate with teams, vendors, and consultants to determine strategies for complex system changes, upgrades, and implementations.
- Deploy application code from ESEF to PPF, MISF, IHAF, HAF, and WDPE across integration, training, acceptance, and production environments.
- Perform DB2 binds and implement CICS and IDMS changes on the z/OS mainframe OS (daily/ongoing).
- Experience performing migration activities consistent with Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with UrbanCode Deploy (UCD), OpenShift, and Jenkins.
- Ability to develop, analyze, and maintain JCL (daily/ongoing).
