The Revenue Accounting Systems Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the proper functioning of revenue accounting software and related applications. This role is responsible for system maintenance, enhancements, and testing to ensure high-quality, accurate software performance. The Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, Decision Support, and business users, to support development, implementation, and post-implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, software developers, and project support teams to determine project scope and requirements. Design, review, and implement user acceptance test plans. Monitor project schedules and manage change processes.
- Provide insights on the current functionality of revenue accounting systems and suggest system enhancements. Participate in meetings to understand business requirements and provide feedback.
- Review, monitor, and organize production deployment activities for revenue accounting systems.
- Interpret user stories impacting revenue accounting systems and create business cases for defects, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Provide production support by analyzing system issues reported by business users, opening support cases, and monitoring timely resolution.
- Facilitate revenue accounting data mining activities and provide guidance to business units in identifying relevant data sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, IT, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in business or financial planning and analysis with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Experience in software project management is a plus.
- Practical experience in testing enterprise financial applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and planning skills. Ability to multi-task and balance requests from multiple departments.
- General knowledge of infrastructure requirements, SharePoint sites, and networks.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Azure DevOps or similar development/testing tracking systems. Knowledge of PLSQL queries is preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $60.00/hour, paid weekly on Fridays.
