General Ledger (GL) Accountant

Location: Miami, FL 33126

Pay Rate: $40 $45

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Temporary (potential for extension during ERP implementation)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant with a strong background in SAP to join our client's accounting team during an exciting ERP implementation phase. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional to play a key role in financial operations while supporting system migration and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes.

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account analyses.

• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the ERP (SAP) implementation, providing accounting input and testing support.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in system transition documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 3 years of general ledger experience.

• SAP experience strongly preferred.

• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

• Adapted to and operated in both old and new systems during implementation.

• Strong Excel and analytical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $40-$45/hour, paid weekly on Fridays.
