The Connecticut House Republican Office is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to join its communications department and assist legislators by initiating community outreach events in various districts. Full State of Connecticut fringe benefits package available. Some in-state travel required.
Responsibilities include brainstorming new ideas to reach different constituencies, create events to engage the public on issues, schedule and implement said events to ensure legislators have a constant and visible presence in their community.
Ideal candidates are strong communicators, both written and verbally and detail oriented. Must have the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines, work well in a team environment, and demonstrate strong presentation skills. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere) software and email marketing platforms. Experience in photography and video is a plus. A background or interest in government and politics is preferred.
