Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare, review, and post routine and specialized journal entries to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes by meeting strict deadlines and ensuring ledger completeness.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Balance Sheet Oversight: Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and budget-to-actual variance reports.
- Audit Readiness: Compile documentation, prepare schedules, and provide support for internal and external audit requests.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to review internal controls, streamline accounting workflows, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and operational departments to ensure accurate cost coding and financial reporting compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- 1 years of accounting experience; corporate accounting or public audit experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.
- Experience utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or robust accounting software preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight closing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, grounded work ethic with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
