Salary Range: $104,000–$124,800 DOE (prorated for part-time)

Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join their accounting team on a part-time basis (15 hours per week). The Sr. Accountant will play a critical role in month‑end close, journal entries, and serving as backup support for the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and support the month‑end close process
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries (JE)
• Complete account reconciliations and research variances
• Serve as backup support for the accounting team to ensure continuity
• Support audits and special accounting projects as needed
• Partner cross‑functionally to maintain financial accuracy
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong month‑end close and journal entry experience
• Ability to act as backup for team members and step in as needed
• Highly detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Effective communicator who works well in a mission‑focused setting
• Experience in a nonprofit or mission‑driven organization is a plus
