The Senior Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including month-end close, reconciliations, job cost review, and financial reporting support. Responsibilities Of Senior Staff Accountant
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review job cost reports and assist with project accounting analysis
- Support accounts payable and vendor management processes
- Assist with WIP schedules and project-related reporting
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and prepaid reconciliations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
- Partner with project managers and operations teams on cost tracking
- Help improve accounting workflows and internal processes
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience required
- Construction, project-based, or job cost accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Accumatica
- Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Base salary up to $90,000 depending on experience
