Key Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the monthly and quarterly financial close process.
- Record treasury and cash management activities, including bank reconciliations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes and automate routine tasks.
- Record and reconcile payroll transactions and related balance sheet accounts.
- Partner with HR and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll expense coding.
- Research, analyze, and explain account variances as part of monthly financial reporting.
- Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation for quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to support business operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, reporting requirements, and established deadlines.
- Support special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment while continuously seeking operational efficiencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3–5 years of general ledger accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting.
- CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred; Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (experience with Sage Intacct, BlackLine, or similar platforms is preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
