What You’ll Do
- Own key aspects of revenue recognition in accordance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606)
- Review and interpret customer contracts, identifying performance obligations and deliverables
- Partner with sales and legal teams to ensure proper revenue treatment and contract structure
- Prepare and analyze monthly revenue reports, including deferred revenue and related balance sheet accounts
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and analytics to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Play a critical role in the month-end close process, with a focus on revenue-related entries and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and scalability as the company grows
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5-7 years of experience with SaaS accounting and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Ability to analyze contracts and translate them into accurate accounting outcomes
- Experience preparing revenue analytics and balance sheet reconciliations
- Solid understanding of month-end close processes in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with a natural curiosity for how things work
- Strong communication skills—you can bridge the gap between accounting and non-finance teams
