Key Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

In this important role, the Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will support corporate accounting and financial reporting activities. Responsibilities include:

• Journal Entries: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will prepare monthly corporate journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Account Reconciliations: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Financial Analysis: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will analyze account fluctuations and document balance sheet activity and trends.
• Consolidations: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will assist with the consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, including reviewing reporting packages and resolving intercompany variances.
• Fixed Assets: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will maintain fixed asset records and assist with accounting analysis related to new fixed asset transactions.
• Financial Reporting: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will prepare standalone and consolidating financial statements for various entities.
• General Ledger Maintenance: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will support chart of accounts management, entity setup, and hierarchy changes.
• Process Improvement: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will proactively identify and recommend opportunities to improve close and consolidation processes.
• Audit Support: The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX compliance activities.

Qualifications For The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting Role

To be successful as a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting, you should bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA license preferred.
• 2-3 years of public accounting experience with a large public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Blackline is a plus.
• Interest in automation and process improvement tools such as Power Automate, Power Query, Copilot, Python, or SQL.
