- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and reporting packages
- Manage and mentor accounting staff (AP/AR/Staff Accountants)
- Maintain and reconcile property-level general ledger accounts
- Review budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Assist with audits and external financial reviews
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, internal controls, and reporting
- Serve as financial point of contact for internal leadership and property operations teams
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in property or real estate accounting
- Experience managing or reviewing the work of AP, AR, or Staff Accountants
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial reporting
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with multi-property or multi-entity accounting
- Background in hospitality, multifamily, real estate investment, or property management
- CPA or working toward certification
