Responsibilities Of The Payroll Supervisor
The Payroll Supervisor will:
- Recruit, interview, motivate, and develop both direct and indirect team members.
- Oversee the workflow for assigned entities and manage direct reports to ensure timely completion of payroll tasks.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll procedures to ensure accurate processing of salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions.
- Partner with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure data consistency and system integration.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining payroll processes and increasing automation.
- Ensure accurate and prompt updates to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and adjustments to compensation.
- Maintain full compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour regulations.
- Support payroll‑related audits by providing required documentation and reports.
The Payroll Supervisor should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of high‑volume, multi‑state, and Canadian payroll management experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
