Key Responsibilities For The Union Payroll Specialist
- Process payroll across multiple unions, jurisdictions, and job sites while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements
- Manage union deductions, fringe benefits, trust fund remittances, and union benefit reporting
- Prepare certified payroll reports and maintain compliance with prevailing wage requirements
- Partner with HR, Accounting, and Operations teams to resolve payroll issues and ensure payroll accuracy
- Utilize advanced Excel and payroll systems to support reporting, audits, reconciliations, and process improvements
- Experience processing payroll in a union construction or similar unionized environment
- Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, union wage structures, and fringe benefit contributions
- Experience with multi-state payroll and union benefit fund reporting preferred
- Proficiency with payroll systems and advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with Paylocity or similar platforms is a plus
