Payroll Specialist Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, and deductions.
- The Payroll Specialist will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, direct deposit information, and other payroll-related data.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance to ensure accurate payroll reporting and data integrity.
- The Payroll Specialist will prepare payroll reports, audits, and reconciliations as needed.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and related reporting.
- Stay current on payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and payroll best practices.
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
