About The Role

Job Duties
- Analyze general ledger entries for accuracy and reconcile complex inter-company transactions and discrepancies.
- Manage the fixed asset module, including the oversight of depreciation schedules and asset roll-forwards.
- Lead month-end bank reconciliations and provide essential support for month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Grant & Contract Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive database for government grants, ensuring all expenses are accurately coded and billings are supported by proper documentation.
- Prepare the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) and assist with Uniform Guidance (UGG) federal audits.
- Collaborate with local units to provide grant support, billing reviews, and assistance during program audits.
- Assist with the compilation of financial statements and the creation of annual budgets.
- Act as a financial systems liaison, utilizing Vivid reporting to produce actionable data and managing applications like Shelby and Ultipro.
- Ensure all financial records and communications are handled with the highest level of confidentiality and security.
- 4 years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Experience with governmental contracts and grant reporting is required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive, professional environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with various departments and external auditors.
