We are seeking a full-time Help Desk Support Specialist to be an integral part of the IT team!
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to Help Desk Support requests and adapt to changing priorities
- Provide courteous, patient, and effective customer service to staff, faculty, and students
- Research and implement innovative solutions to improve technical support and productivity
- Perform routine analysis of computer systems; coordinate repairs, upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting
- Monitor and manage open Help Desk Support tickets, escalating or delegating tasks as needed
- Collaborate with team members to identify issue trends and propose process improvements
- Maintain accurate asset records using inventory and ticketing systems
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and peripherals according to standard procedures
- Set up and customize desktop software and services based on organizational best practices
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred, not required)
- 1 years of experience in a Help Desk Support or technical support role
- Experience supporting Windows OS, MacOS and Chromebooks
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with hardware and software issues
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with laptops, desktops, tablets, and smartboards
- Comfortable supporting printers, copiers, and other peripherals.
- Familiarity with device or PC imaging technologies
- MUST be able to pass background & drug screen
- CompTIA A and/or Network certifications
- Experience in an educational or service-oriented environment
