Senior Accountant

About The Role

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to support the month-end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger management. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is ready to take on more responsibility and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare financial statements, schedules, and supporting reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany activity.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with audit preparation, providing documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes and provide variance analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger concepts.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise, Oracle, etc.).
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
