What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Owning budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for a large, operational business unit
- Acting as a true business partner to leadership—translating financial data into decisions
- Leading and developing a team (2 direct reports) while staying hands-on in the work
- Managing both operating and capital spend, including long-term planning considerations
- Delivering clear, actionable insights through variance analysis and performance tracking
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and trends—and proactively bringing solutions forward
- Improving processes, reporting, and forecasting accuracy over time
- 5 years of experience in FP&A or finance roles with strong forecasting and analysis exposure
- Prior leadership experience or clear readiness to lead and develop others
- Experience supporting business units or operational teams (not just corporate FP&A)
- Background in mid-to-large company environments
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar strongly preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence non-finance partners
- You naturally ask “why” and think beyond the numbers
- You can zoom into the details but also connect them to the bigger picture
- You enjoy working cross-functionally and being part of decision-making—not just reporting on it
- You take ownership and bring ideas, not just analysis
- High visibility within a large, stable organization
