About The Opportunity - Collections Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Collections Specialist to join a growing team and support the accounts receivable process. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, resolving payment issues, and helping maintain healthy cash flow through effective collection efforts and professional customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities - Collections Specialist

• Contact customers regarding past-due balances via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection activities.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment disputes.
• Maintain accurate collection notes and account records in company systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address customer account concerns.
• Prepare reports on collection status and account activity.
  
  

Qualifications - Collections Specialist

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 years of collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet collection goals.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
