Key Responsibilities For The Billing Lead
- Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle team
- Process, review, and follow up on Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party claims
- Analyze and resolve claim denials and discrepancies
- Ensure accuracy of ICD-10, CPT, and diagnosis coding based on provider documentation
- Train and mentor billing staff on best practices and workflow improvements
- Coordinate updates and changes to billing codes with management
- Review and manage accounts receivable, aging reports, and remittance postings
- Oversee insurance eligibility verification and appeals processes
- Ensure timely month-end close and reporting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desired
- 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in medical billing
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for community health and improving patient access to care
