Key Responsibilities - Assistant Controller
- Assist in managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with audit preparation and coordinate requests from external auditors
- Review general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience required
- Prior experience in a senior accounting, accounting manager, or assistant controller role preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
