Key Responsibilities Of The Assistant Controller
- Oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple real estate entities, including month-end close and financial reporting
- The Assistant Controller will manage and support audit and tax preparation processes across the organization
- Ensure accuracy and compliance within multi-entity financial structures and reporting requirements
- Leverage Yardi to improve reporting, streamline processes, and enhance accounting efficiency
- The Assistant Controller will partner with leadership to support financial planning, reporting, and organizational growth initiatives
- Identify and implement process improvements to support scalability and modernization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience with strong real estate industry exposure required
- Advanced experience with Yardi (Voyager preferred)
- Strong background in multi-entity accounting and financial reporting
- Experience supporting audits and tax processes in a complex environment
- Leadership experience or readiness to step into a Controller-level role
- Defined succession path to Controller within 9–12 months
- High visibility role working directly with executive leadership
- Exposure to large-scale real estate portfolio and multi-entity structure
