Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Belle Plaine, MN (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high‑volume AP function within a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. This role will focus on managing large volumes of invoices, maintaining vendor communication, and ensuring timely and accurate processing across multiple systems. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable engaging with both vendors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high‑volume accounts payable processing, handling a large number of invoices and payments on a monthly basis
- Monitor and maintain a shared AP inbox, responding to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely manner
- Perform data entry and invoice processing across multiple systems, including AP automation and OCR tools
- Route invoices for proper coding and approvals, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Coordinate invoice submissions through OCR and assist with vendor setup and maintenance
- Track payment status and follow up on discrepancies, missing invoices, or outstanding issues
- Collaborate with team members on a rotating basis to manage high volumes of incoming communications
- Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient issue resolution
Qualifications
- 3 years of Accounts Payable experience required
- Experience in the construction or construction services industry preferred
- Proven ability to succeed in a high‑volume AP environment
- Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and adapting to new tools
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, team‑oriented mindset
- Experience with ERP systems or AP automation tools (e.g., Oracle, SoftCo, or similar) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
