Job Title: Shipping Coordinator
Reports to: Distribution Center Supervisor
Location: Ellabell, GA
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

About the Role: The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the shipping process within the distribution center. This role ensures that products are shipped accurately, timely, and cost-effectively while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely shipment of products to customers.
- Review and verify shipping orders and ensure they are processed correctly.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped according to customer requirements
- Communicate with Distribution Center Manager & respond to inquiries regarding shipment status, delays, and any issues that arise.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling and export controls.
- Promote and adhere to safety standards and practices within the distribution center.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions.
- Generate reports on shipping activities, costs, and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in shipping and logistics operations.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce shipping costs.
- Investigate shipping discrepancies with corresponding carriers or internal or external departments. At times needing to communicate with outside partners.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) systems and concepts
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
