Certified Medical Assistant

PT Day Shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to members of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role supports daily operations within the medical unit and assists with patient flow, documentation, and clinical procedures in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

Performance Expectations:

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
• Interviews patients
• Measures patient’s vital signs and records information in patient’s chart
• Provides basic patient education
• Assists members of the healthcare team with procedures that occur in the medical unit.
• May be required to draw and collect samples from patient and prepare
• specimens for laboratory analysis
• Maintains the needed clerical and clinical supplies for the unit
• Assist with administrative/clerical duties as necessary
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or comparable program.
• One year’s experience working in a physician office, clinic or ambulatory health care center.
• Must be Hands-On CPR certified

Functional Demands:

• Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests.
• May be required to work nights, weekend, and holidays
• On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice).

• Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.
• Completes required orientation as directed by facility
• Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
• Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol
• Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations
• Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts
• Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility
• Conforms to dress code
• Reports to work site at designated time

Salary : $20 - $24
