Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Actively build and maintain strong client relationships through networking, referrals, and consistent community involvement.
- Represent the Bank at local events, business organizations, and community activities, including occasional evening engagements.
- Identify client needs and connect customers to appropriate products and partners, including cash management, commercial lending, and other bank services.
- Strengthen the branch’s brand, reputation, and visibility within the local market.
- Deliver high‑quality, responsive service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure a customer‑first culture that emphasizes trust, confidentiality, and long‑term relationship building.
- Lead by example in professionalism, teamwork, and customer service standards.
- Coach and support Universal Bankers to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of daily responsibilities.
- Perform supervisory duties in alignment with organizational policies, employment laws, and Bank standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on branch transactions, systems, and procedures.
- Assist the Branch Manager with branch operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and administrative oversight.
- Support human resource activities such as performance feedback, evaluations, corrective actions, retention, and hiring.
- Manage administrative responsibilities related to reports, audits, and branch projects.
- Monitor and control branch expenses, including service charge and check charge reversals.
- Maintain an organized, professional branch environment and delegate housekeeping and operational tasks as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act compliance.
- Participate in audits and ongoing oversight to maintain operational integrity and risk controls.
- Minimum of three years bank management experience and a thorough knowledge of branch operations.
- Should have a strong understanding of IRA account structure, rules, and requirements.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to work successfully with the public, and employees across multiple departments.
- Must have basic math skills and demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills.
- Must have effective interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to sell and cross-sell bank products and services effectively.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to lift office supplies up to 40 lbs. (e.g., Storage boxes, bags of coin, cash box, etc.).
- Must be flexible and willing to assist when needed (covering other branches, work hours etc.).
- Able to perform in any branch position, as needed.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
