Job Description:
The Receptionist position is critical to the success and daily flow of the CFD Research Engineering Test Center in Hollywood, AL, serving as a go-to resource for employees while creating a welcoming and well-run environment for all. This full-time position (40 hours per week) is responsible for Reception and Facilities support for a facility of 40–50 employees and is part of the Admin Support group.
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, ensuring a professional and welcoming front desk experience. This role is responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting guests, and handling mail, packages, and courier deliveries, including their accurate distribution. In addition to front desk responsibilities, the Receptionist supports day-to-day office operations by maintaining office and breakroom supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and placing orders as needed to ensure a well-stocked and organized workplace. Other responsibilities include coordinating with facilities vendors as needed for grounds maintenance, HVAC, IT, supply purchases, and other services.This position also provides administrative and logistical support for corporate and client meetings, including conference room setup, coordinating catering, and post-meeting cleanup. The role may assist with a variety of administrative tasks across business operations as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive, can-do attitude, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service while supporting the overall efficiency of the office environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree a plus)
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
- Experience working in a customer facing role; experience in a similar role is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
- Candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills in both verbal and written correspondence
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a government contracting environment
- Active secret security clearance
