Mid-Level Facilities Coordinator

CFD Research Corporation is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to support multiple facilities across Huntsville and Hollywood, Alabama. This role operates within a cleared defense environment and requires an active SECRET clearance. The Facilities Coordinator serves as a key resource responsible for day-to-day facility operations, infrastructure coordination, and support of secure/restricted spaces, ensuring facilities are maintained to support mission, safety, and security requirements. This position requires a high level of independence, organization, and coordination across multiple locations.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for facilities operations across multiple sites, ensuring consistent execution and support
• Manage and coordinate facility maintenance, infrastructure projects, and vendor activities from planning through completion
• Support operations within controlled and restricted areas, coordinating closely with Security to ensure compliance with access control and facility requirements
• Receive and manage facilities tickets and service requests, ensuring timely resolution
• Conduct routine facility inspections, identifying maintenance issues, safety concerns, and quality deficiencies
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for building systems, grounds, and equipment
• Coordinate workspace setup and modifications, including new hires, office moves, and workspace upgrades
• Maintain inventory of furniture, equipment, and facilities supplies
• Develop and deliver facility status reports to site leadership
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards across all locations
• Support cost control initiatives and efficient use of facilities resources
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful execution of facility-related activities
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of facilities coordination or management experience in a commercial, industrial, or government environment
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
• Active SECRET clearance required
• Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and facility operations
• Ability to operate in restricted and controlled environments with a high degree of discretion
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting cleared defense or government facilities
• Experience working in environments with controlled or restricted access requirements
• Background in multi-site facility coordination
• Experience managing facility improvement projects or infrastructure upgrades
  
  

Working Conditions

• 10–30% travel between locations
• Occasional after-hours response for facility issues
• Physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds and extended standing
• Work may be performed in varied environmental conditions
  
  

Education

• Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher.

Location: This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.
